Behavioural Change

Behavioural change in the context of conservation plays a pivotal role in addressing pressing environmental challenges. Through environmental education, community engagement, and awareness campaigns, NVT has and will continue to ensure targeted interventions that aim to promote sustainable practices and foster a deeper understanding of the interdependence between human activities and the natural world. By focusing on local communities, these interventions promote a sense of connection to the environment and instil a shared responsibility for protecting natural resources, ultimately leading to positive behavioural changes that contribute to long-term conservation efforts.

Moving forward, NVT plans on making a paradigm shift from a position of simply being “engaged” to one where it can have a planned positive impact on its local communities. This shift will be guided by applied research focusing on the community’s needs, assets and well-being with the intention to develop planned activities residents can participate in with a view to safeguarding all the natural treasures our Valley holds.
